The Civil Service Fast Stream is an award-winning leadership programme that develops the highest potential graduates to become future leaders of the Civil Service.
Recently named Graduate Employer of the Year in the Times Top 100, the Civil Service reclaimed the No. 1 spot it last held 15 years ago, after holding the No. 2 position in each of the last two years. There’s no such thing as a typical Fast Streamer. People of all ages, cultures and backgrounds thrive on the programme. With 15 schemes and roles across the UK, whatever the degree subject you studied, the Fast Stream offers a career path that’s right for you. You can choose up to four of the 15 available schemes when you apply:

We asked Beth, a Government Communication Service Fast Streamer, to describe the Fast Stream programme. She said:
I was attracted to working in government, as it would be motivating work that made a difference to people’s lives.
The experiences that await you are unique compared to the other graduate schemes available. Working in central government is fast-moving, and there are so many exciting briefs to work on.
