Peter Schofield, Permanent Secretary for the Department of Work & Pensions, shares what he’s learnt about leadership since joining the Civil Service in 1991 and now leading the biggest government department.

Peter became the Permanent Secretary at the Department for Work and Pensions on 16 January 2018.
Previously he worked as: Director General for Finance at DWP from July 2016; Director General for Housing and Planning at the Department for Communities and Local Government;
and Director of the Enterprise and Growth Unit at HM Treasury.
