New GPP Member for Commercial Surveying

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Professions

Jason Essenhigh has agreed to step into the GPP Board role as Lead for the Commercial Surveying discipline following the recent resignation of John Richards due to increased departmental workload.

Jason (Jay) is Head of Risk and Procurement at the Homes and Communities Agency.  Jay and his small team are directly responsible for maintaining the HCA’s corporate risk, procurement and business continuity activities. The HCA is ‘RICS regulated’ and Jay is also the Head of Profession responsible for RICS regulatory compliance, professional and technical standards and the Agency’s CPD programme.

Jay commenced his professional career in the private sector as a residential property asset manager where he specialised in the disposal of “challenging assets”.  To broaden his land and commercial experience, he joined the Urban Regeneration Agency (English Partnerships) as Head of Compliance.  This included direct involvement in major public-sector project delivery and the commissioning and co-authoring of technical research programmes on utility reinforcement and green buildings.  He has a longstanding interest in the conservation and maintenance of historic buildings and provides facilities management technical advice to two London based charities.

Sherin Aminossehe has welcomed Jay to the GPP Board and looks forward to working with him and the other members in developing the profession across government.
